A good friend called me early this morning, and I mean early! She spoke to me about a lot of things that were on her mind. I wanted to give myself and everyone the advice I gave her and what she also gained from her own experience:
1.) Know what you're getting yourself into BEFORE getting involved. Often, the blind are being led by the blind, and when this happens both parties are bound to fall in the ditch.
2.) Make sure the person(s) you're dealing with made some failures in the past, and learned from them. Why? Failure is a good teacher. Failure is also great at making folks humble. The feeling of failure will either make you better and build your character, or it will make your character and attitude even worse.
3.) Deal with HONEST individuals and companies. Liars, schemers, and negative manipulators do not permanently win in any area of life. When you align yourself with individuals who are like this, you'll end up reaping the consequences of the lies they tell.
4.) Appreciate each experience in life. Life is nothing but a series of experiences. The level of happiness and joy each of us possesses is based on our outlook of these experiences.
5.) Understand your strengths and your weaknesses. Experiences in life and time with yourself help you get know both. The same goes for those in which you involve yourself. They are not strong on every area, and neither are you.
6.) No matter what, try to see the bright side of even a bad situation! Focusing on the negative will only bring you more negative.
I hope these things helped you add much as they helped me. Continue to move forward in hope, and do your best to be your best everyday!
